F9/11 Update

$36 million, folks. A lot of people are seeing this film. How about you? Or perhaps a second time?

Last weekend, Fahrenheit 9/11 raked in $24m (£13m) at the box office, a record for a documentary. By Wednesday the release had been widened from 868 to an estimated 1,200 screens, and total takings had expanded to almost $36m.
So, now Eisner counter-programs.

Hows come Disney's board hasn't thrown him out on his arse yet? When personal feelings cloud good business sense, it's time for the top dog (or mouse, in this case) to go. Wanna bet which film makes more money? Eisner is such a, well, snarky DICK.

Update, 7/2/04 10:30AM: Moore on the Disney "counterprogramming". Seems as if Eisner and Howard Kaloogian are in cahoots. Two peas in a friggin' pod.
