Kerry / Edwards - This Will Work

I've made no secret of my personal admiration for John Edwards. Having met and spoken with him on a few occasions, I truly believe he's the genuine article. The best part is that he seems to already be softening John Kerry's rough edges. It's hard not to like the pairing. We can argue all day about whether or not Kerry / Edwards takes the country to a little bit better place; "kinder, gentler" in the words of George H.W. Bush.

Kerry / Edwards is still, despite the immediate glamour appeal, a marriage of convenience and of somewhat opposing personalities and viewpoints. I'm not so sure that it won't eventually end up like an Aaron Sorkin episode of West Wing - but if either have half the principles of Jeb Bartlett, then we're good to go. It's a start.

Here's a great link that gives you a feel for a future working relationship between the two.
