Dateline: Charleston, WV. MORE Bush Bullying

You know, I'm seeing more and more of these stories. Someone goes to a Bush rally, or in this case a non-political 4th of July appearance, wearing a T-Shirt with an anti-Bush message, in this case "Love America, Hate Bush," and pretty soon they're in cuffs and charged. Yes, it continues to appear that this administration continues to think that opposing it is akin to treason. Here's the story: Charleston Gazzette-Mail

A few things occur to me. Yes, it is certainly offensive to me for anyone to be arrested for a T-Shirt that is really a piece of political speech. What seems more egregious is that this is a federal worker who may actually lose her job for exercising her right to free speech. And she works for that part of the government that's a first responder to terror attacks. Bush Administration to federal workers: you'd better support us or you're going to lose your jobs.

Secondly, almost all of these stories I've read over the last three years, nearly, have been local, and many times they do not get to the national level. Why isn't the national press picking them up? That really puzzles me. Does anyone have the answer?
