Reading Michael Bérubé's blog is one of my not-so-guilty pleasures. The man writes like a dream (as one would expect from someone of his academic status), and his snark-laden zingers generally hit their mark with intended impact. Bérubé's latest article is a thing of extreme beauty: in a single posting, Bérubé manages to continue the pig-on-a-spit roasting of Jonah Goldberg, defend (with the correct defense of) Ward Churchill, and send up National Review neoeditor Rich Lowry.
If I didn't have to work for a damn living, and could partake in more than "drive by blogging" whenever I have a few free minutes, I'd strive to emulate the writing style (and I do mean style) of Michael Bérubé.
Treat yourself.
