The Purge Begins

I guess George Tenet was not ideologically pure enough anymore. Heads had to start rolling. I'm guessing this is the first. Can't wait to read the book.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- CIA Director George Tenet, who weathered storms over intelligence lapses about suspected weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, has resigned for personal reasons, President Bush said Thursday.

"I will miss him," Bush said.
Yeah. Like a bad case of acne.

Chalabi, anyone? Or Plame? How about Abu Ghraib?

Don't dance yet. As strange as it may seem, Tenet is one of the "good guys" (in a WWF/WWE kind of way), and perhaps one of the only counterweights to a creeping facist viewpoint in the U.S. intelligence community. BushCo is circling the wagons. This isn't necessarily good, IMO.
