Anyone Notice Bush Hiring the Lawyer?

I must admit I missed a small detail about the story until I read a column by John Dean today on Westlaw. Dean claims the guy is a criminal defense attorney! How's that for spin? Does Bush really need that kind of specialist to help him out?
