Immediately Actionable

There's a move afoot, spearheaded (loosely) by the group that urged a boycott of the CBS miniseries "The Reagans" last year, to intimidate theatres posied to show Michael Moore's "Farenheit 9/11". You can learn about the movement here and here.

How about writing a quick email in support of the film to the theatre groups listed here (a nice, easy cut-and-paste list), and another one expressing outrage to these guys. There's also a blog for Move America Forward where you could, say, drop a note if you were so moved.

I wouldn't presuppose to put words in your mouth, as it were, but a nice letter of support to the theatre chain owners and a, eh, dissenting view to the PR firm behind Move America Forward would be most appropriate.

Feel free to post yours in the comment section here.

Update, 5:45PM - One thing I should have noted in my previous writeup is that Move America Forward is fronted by a guy named Howard Kaloogian. Apparently, he doesn't even play well with fellow Republicans in California (if I'm reading the site Howardisaliar.com correctly). The phrase, "self-aggrandizing opportunist" comes immediately to mind. Funny how the GOP seems to rely on characters like him.

For a little background on Mr. Kaloogian, click here. He's a real sweetheart.
