Chaos Theory and Saturday Night

I never thought I'd spend part of an evening watching an Ashton Kutchner movie - but Butterfly Effect was worth the investment in time. If you enjoy psychodramas such as Memento, you'll enjoy this flick -- but be forewarned, anyone with a short attention span (or ringing phones or barking dogs) will have a hard time following the story line. If you're like me, you'll find yourself having to rewind at several points just to make sure you understand what's happening.

The cast, in particular the younger actors, was generally superb. Amy Smart displayed a character range I didn't know she had, and my favorite creepy actor (Eric Stolz) added another notch in his creep belt.

Butterfly Effect is rated R for a reason: it's tense and violent in spots, and deals with some psychological themes that are best left to adults to ponder. It should keep you on the edge of your seat. Send the kids to bed. This is not Dude, Where's My Car.

While you're waiting for the Kerry campaign to get back on track, here's a collection of selected links I've visited over the past few days. Enjoy!
