Daily Kos and Atrios

These guys have done stellar work today, not only leading the way concerning when Cheney actually met Edwards, thus labelling him as a liar, but also attacking Cheney's implication that he presided over the Senate on Tuesdays. Yes, that's false as well. From Atrios Eschaton:

First he claims he never met Edwards when he has at least 3 times. Then he bragged about being the presiding officer of the Senate, and being there most Tuesdays, even though he's only acted as the presiding officer on two Tuesdays. He's been going on and on about links between Saddam and the 9/11 hijackers and between Saddam and al Qaeda, even though no such links exist. He so misrepresents things that Kerry says that he must have a serious mental illness. He simultaneously claims that Kerry is "inconsistent" and then says he's the most consistently liberal senator. We really can only conclude that Cheney needs some serious psychiatric help.

The evidence with a complete list of who presided over the Senate each Tuesday throughout the Bush Administration is at Daily Kos.

Yup, you read it right over there at Daily Kos. Edwards presided over the Senate exactly as many times as Mr. Cheney did. I guess he must have been absent the rest of the time? Do we, then, by his definition, label him "Vice President Gone?" Going, going, gone!

Kudos to these Daily Kos and Atrios Escaton! They've a good nose for Cheney lies. Richard is right, of course, that all you have to do is note when Cheney's lips move.
