TPM

Josh Marshall is at least temporarily off my shit list (as if he ever knew he was on it anyway). Go forth and distribute Talking Points Memo's URL far and wide this weekend. Pay particular attention to his NY Times link regarding what voters can expect in O-hi-o on election day.

I'll have more on the NY Times piece later. Here's an action point that I'm going to be pushing hard in the next week: if you can in any way become a poll watcher on Nov. 2, or assist your local election board in monitoring poll worker performance, do it. I can't stress this enough - it's vitally important that imported GOP goon squads (and I stress imported, as opposed to the local Republican neighbors in your district who normally work the polls) not be enabled to run roughshod over polling places. As trite as it may sound, the election may depend on not only your vote, but your active participation as a legally enabled watcher in the polling place.

If you're in a position where you would have to take a day of from work without pay to become a poll watcher / challenger (that's what we call them in NJ), watch this space. ASZ's going to be announcing a contest in the next 24 hours where your pay might be covered for being a poll watcher on election day!
