I heard these figures on the drive home tonight: the ISG searching for WMD and TCB found a motherlode of BFD at a cost of $900,000,000. That's right. The Bush administration has spent NINE HUNDRED FUCKING MILLION DOLLARS trying to justify Chimp and Darth's Not-So-Excellent adventure.

WASHINGTON (AFP) - President George W. Bush's administration is in denial over the lack of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq before the US-led invasion in 2003, ex-chief US arms inspector David Kay said.

... The White House has insisted Saddam was a threat to the United States and had weapons of mass destruction capability, but Kay told NBC television: "All I can say is 'denial' is not just a river in Egypt."

"The report is scary enough without misrepresenting what it says," he added.

...Kay told CNN television "Right now we have a lot of people who are desperate to justify the Bush administration's decision to go to war with Iraq.

... "He had a lot of intent. He didn't have capabilities. Intent without capabilities is not an imminent threat."
