I'm sitting here in my office taking a coffee break. Wednesdays are usually the busiest day of my week, and this St. Patty's day is no exception. Since I only have a moment, here's what's on my mind right now.
Quaker Toastables - the Quaker Oats equivalent of Pop Tarts. I opened up a Fruit and Oatmeal pack when I sat down with my coffee. What's more American than the Quaker Oats company, right? Healthy, wholesome breakfast food from the heartland.
Of Canada.
As I was opening the pack of Toastables, I noticed under the flavor and date stamp, "Made in Canada". So, I guess Toastables are covered under NAFTA.
I'll have to write Lou Dobbs and find out how many plants Quaker Oats has shut down in the United States. On my next break. :)
